After electing to bat, Tigers suffered a top order collapse before Anthony Fernando steadied the innings with support from Subin Joseph. A Late flourish by Kartik lyer and Alok Mody saw the Tigers post a par score of 78 in 15 overs. Skipper Mani lyer shined with figures of 4/13. The reply from Lions featured a brilliant partnership between Vishal Shah and Hiren Vora. The partnership was dominated by cheeky singles stolen off every ball, before skipper Alok had the pitch surrounded. The ploy worked with Hiren Vora running himself out off a brilliant throw from Anthony Fernando. Vishal Shah and Gautam Dutt carried on and took the bowling by Alok Mody, Harbinder Singh and Piyush Panchal coupled by great fielding ensured the Tigers won by 11 runs.
