After electing to bat the Tigers made 57 in the stipulated 15 overs. The innings was led by the in form skipper Chirag Jain, who rallied his team who were under fire by a spirited bowling effort by the Lions with Priyank, Varun, Jason, Ajay and Cajetan keeping it tight. In reply Lions were off to a disastrous start with 6 wkts/9 runs in 4 overs before Varun stabilised the innings with support from Gautam. Varun, who was in excruciating pain due to a injury batted on but with wickets tumbling at the other end effected by some excellent bowling(led by Amit Motwani with 3 wickets) n fielding by the Tigers. The Lions needed 17 runs of the last over. With a maximum and some judicious scoring, the equation was 6 off the last ball. Varun hoisted the last ball over long on and Alok, his counter part (who was not playing) standing beyond the boundary heaved a sigh of relief along with the tigers as the ball fell inches before the boundary for 4 runs.
